Proximity cards

Access or identification cards, characterised by the fact that no physical contact is necessary for them to be read by the coupler. They are regulated by the descriptions of international standards ISO 14443 and operate by radio-frequency, with a built-in antenna that activates the chip through a radio signal.

They are often used for their high transaction speed needed in applications such as transport. The card must be placed at a distance of no more than 10 cm from the coupler.
